Confession time;

One of the things I legitimately ADORE about Phineas and Ferb is how the girls are portrayed; Isabella and Candace are girly and like boys, honestly and openly. Are they played as weak or dumb or inferior? FUCK NO. In fact they are some of the most badass characters IN the show. Then you have Vanessa, who’s a total bamf and somewhat a stereotypical teenager. BUT SHE HAS EMOTIONS. SHE BONDS WITH PEOPLE. SHE DOESN’T HIDE WHEN SHE’S UPSET OR RUN AWAY FROM LOVING SOMEONE. You also have Linda, the boys’ and Candace’s mom, who is a mother AND a wife AND has a successful career and hobbies and whose life is fulfilling not exclusively because she’s a mother and her being a mother and wife does not take away from her interesting hobbies and personality. I also love love LOVE Lyla Lolliberry, because she’s cute and kind and ditzy but she proves time and time again that she’s capable and great at her job.

Just…they have a variety of girls with all different personalities who have fun and are capable, independent characters and I just
